Tonight I was invited to speak at a donor awareness society's appreciation night. I spoke and then a donor family member spoke.
I learned of the impact donating their mother/wife's organs made on them. The healing power it came with. How much it assisted them in their grief. How happy they were to have another focus. How much it means to them that their mom lives on in some way through others.
And how muc it meant to them to receive the letters from the recipients.
They certainly impacted me.
